If you have trouble finding out where
your units are in your organisation i-Track can be loaded with your
current records and then opened up to relevant parties to help verify
the information.
For example a large organisation had an asset register
that was known to have
"holes" in it. The data sets from financial systems and SMS
queries were imported into i-Track and each remote office was given a
log-on. The location could view their own assets and verify the data
and add data where it was missing. Then, when it came around to refreshing
their assets they had a more accurate listing.
Is this better than Network poling solutions like SMS
that find networked units?
Probably. can
combine data sources and open up the cross referenced data for verification
by users. So those assets that haven't been connected to the network
like that PC stuck in the cupboard potentially incurring lease penalties
can be recovered and those assets that never sit on the network, such
as displays and projectors can be managed using standard processes. |
